PowerLog Awards
The PowerLog was presented at the Hearth, Patio and Barbeque Association show in Reno, Nevada and entered
in the Vesta Awards challenge. The Vesta Awards honor innovation in design and technology of new products.
The Powerlog was entered in the Green Awards (environmentally friendly) Hearth category.
The PowerLog was judged not only on its superior performance and ultra low emissions as a solid fuel but the entire
manufacturing process was evaluated as well. The manufacturing facility is strategically located within 2 miles of the
raw material source to reduce the fossil fuel emissions required to transport the feed stock. Our PowerLogs are so dense
that we can maximize the payload of carriers of finished product delivery. In our manufacturing facility we only use
electric forklifts which do not produce any emissions. Some of the material handling equipment in our plant has
been recycled from other facilities. We dry our raw material prior to introducing it to our process and use a biomass
suspension burner that is fueled by a small amount of our raw material instead of fossil fuels like propane or natural
gas which emit large amounts of CO2 into the environment.
When all of the emission characteristics, product performance and manufacturing practices were considered the
PowerLog received a finalist award in the Green Hearth Vesta Awards Challenge.
