Enviro-friendly Fire Logs
The PowerLogs are made from an annually renewable agricultural bi product
derived from flax straw. There are no glues, waxes, resins or additives of any kind.
The logs are tightly held together by the natural lignins in the flax straw that are melted
during the manufacturing process.
When the flax plant grows it consumes CO2 and when the PowerLogs are burned
they release CO2 back in to the atmosphere. It is this reason that the PowerLogs
are classed as a CO2 NEUTRAL, ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FUEL. Burning the
PowerLogs does NOT contribute to our ever worsening greenhouse gas problem.
When tested by Omni Laboratories against oak cord wood the PowerLogs emitted
80 % less particulates (smoke) into the atmosphere and deposited 66 % less creosote
in the chimney. (greatly reducing the possibility of a chimney fire).
Perhaps one of the most important benefits to burning the PowerLogs is that we leave
our precious forests as they are.
